Interdimensional communication

I couldn't resist writing about this one: There I was taking a little time at the end of the day, sitting in front of the wood stove. I had settled deep into an evening meditation. The process is called ascension, and, like most meditation techniques, is all about a one point focus. There is a similar process called Centering Prayer, if you are familiar with that. Anyway, I was deep into this state of quietude. I was in that place some call wakeful sleep, where you're in a deep resting state much like sleep, but you are totally aware at the same time of sounds or sensations around you. The awareness of these things is much like peripheral vision. You are not focused there but just aware that things are going on in the background. One might even say you are in a state of witnessing. Okay, so there I was, when, as clear as a bell, I see in my mind's eye what appeared like a cell phone screen and odd looking symbols, numbers, spirals and other unknown language. The witness in me seemed to smile and instantly know that this was a confirmation of a "download" process, communication from beyond the 3-D dimension. How clever of the Higher Self part of me to send a text message of sorts! I know on some other level that this is going on, even during a Mercury Retrograde when communication is typically screwed up, this message got through loud and clear. What did these odd symbols mean? I have no idea. That was not the point of that brief glimpse, but just a bit of a "wink" from Spirit, confirming that much is going on in the many dimensions. In some ways it seemed to make more sense to me than when I switch on the news for a brief look and see that yet two or three more ordinary people have gone off the deep end and are shooting up the world around them. Looking into the momentary blink of Spirit's message somehow made more sense to me, that despite the seeming chaos in the 3-D world, great and awesome things are happening beyond the veil on our behalf. There may be other such confirmations that many of you are also experiencing right now. It would be fun to hear how Spirit is moving the Spiral in your lives.

As usual those of your posts that I read are resonant. I just came from a 5 day silent retreat including frequent Centering Prayer and I can identify with the 'downloads'.

Centering Prayer is a huge part of my life ... and anything that does comes along is definitely not a coincidence. Being open to the spirit is not always easy, but definitely filled with Divinity. Isn't is amazing what comes to us when we are in this mode?

I wonder if that is the reason for my headache? I have had it for two days now and nothing will take it away. Once, I was asleep and I woke with a feeling of someone electrifying my feet.. like i was standing on a pad and shots of electricity were going up through my body and out my head.. really weird.
Have you ever heard of the Pleaidians? My youngest daughter had visits from them when she was 3..
ps - you are amazing! so UN-like any catholic nun i have ever met.. we had Sr. Joanna - sheesh.

Greetings! I've been reading your blog for a bit and am always moved and inspired by your writing. I think I met you in Portland in the mid-80's when you did some women's weekends with Judith. I attended one of those weekends. I remember seeing your aura.

It is nice to connect in the blogosphere. I left Portland a year ago and am still looking for my "tribe."

I haven't done Centering Prayer, but it sounds very powerful. I, too, am interested in how. I've done a lot of Buddhist meditation and have gotten downloads during that process.

I'm coming to Newport in early March for a women's conference. I'd like to stop by your studio to say "hi." Where are you located?

Blessed be! Life is good.

I have felt an ocean wave of spirit in my life the past two days, as I've been introduced to so many artists who also blog. We've been swimming back and forth across this great creative cyber ocean of the world and being inspired by each other's work. I'm humbled and in awe and encouraged in my own art and feeling more connected to other's art and to my work than I've felt in some time.

The ability to connect across the 'air waves' reminds me of your combination of symbols and words and strange languages....we can communicate with everyone if we stop trying to understand each little word and look more for the greater meanings.

I am getting daily communications in the form of every magazine article and blog post is about the same subject in one day..and it's a subject I'd been praying about, hoping for guidance. It's as if Universe is saying to me HELLOOOO? How much more loudly do you need me to say this to you?

Hello Kathryn - I just read your comments on Robyn's blog, about how blogging is connecting us all together in a kind of Gaia mind - very interesting and it put into words something that I have been realising too. This text message meditation sounds like something very similar. It's as if we are learning how to communicate at a deep global level. I am getting to know like-minded people all over the world - amazing!
